Dawn to dusk raids net hundreds

KUWAIT CITY, July 23: Last week Wednesday, from three in the morning until seven in the evening, it was a nightmare for owners of bad condition, second-hand cars that lack security and durability requirements, during inspection on Al-Mutla’a and Al-Abdali roads for drivers without valid driving license.

The inspection was carried out upon instructions of the Minister of Interior under the supervision and presence of the Undersecretary of the Traffic and Operations Sector, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, and the Assistant Director of Technical Affairs, Brigadier General Muhammad Farraj Al-Adwani, the men of the Technical Inspection Department, led by its director, Brigadier General Mishaal Al-Suwaiji. The daily added, the entire area was cordoned off and hundreds of citations were issued to the violators of the law and those whose vehicles were not road worthy.
