Data verification begins for female caretakers

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: Dr. Khalifa Al-Hilaa, the acting Deputy Director General for Medical, Psychological, and Residential Services at the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs (PADA), announced that the authority has begun sending SMS messages to female caretakers of individuals with severe disabilities to update their data, reports Al- Seyassah daily. He emphasized that the recipients of these messages must visit PADA headquarters in Hawally to update their information within 30 days of receiving them.

Dr. Al-Hilaa explained that these caretakers are required to bring the original civil ID cards of both themselves and the disabled person, along with a certificate from the Ports Authority showing their entry and exit records, in accordance with Article 6 of the regulations of Law No. 8/2010 concerning the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Failure to respond to PADA’s request to visit within the specified period will subject the caregiver to legal and administrative measures, as outlined in Articles 6 and 7 of the regulations of Law No. 8/2010, and Administrative Decision No. 340/2022. If the submitted data is found to be false, Article 7 of the regulations will be applied, requiring the caretaker to refund all allowances disbursed to her by PADA.
