‘Data on current industrial zones do not reflect reality’

KUWAIT CITY, July 29: The Public Authority for Industry (PAI) said the data on current industrial zones mentioned in the fourth structural layout of Kuwait 2040 do not reflect the reality in terms of the allocation or uses of land, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a letter forwarded to Kuwait Municipality on the need to achieve its goals by 2035, PAI clarified that it needs land for the new industrial city to establish industrial facilities listed on the fourth structural layout of the State as per the conditions laid down by the Environment Public Authority (EPA).

According to PAI, the industrial city will be away from residential complexes and near transportation lines; in addition to the allocation of other sites for industrial and solid landfills.
