CAIRO, Dec 26: Ahmed Dashti, the Kuwaiti player, secured the top spot in the men's doubles category at the Egyptian Open for Pioneer Tennis Championship in Cairo. Paired with Egyptian champion Moataz Mabrouk, Dashti triumphed at the Al-Jazira Club courts.
Remarkably, Dashti, who funded his own participation in the tournament, showcased his skills in a stellar match. The duo claimed victory over the title holders of the recent third Arab Tennis Championship in Jordan, Mustafa Bahnasi and Ahmed Al-Qarsh.
This accomplishment solidifies Dashti's standing in Egypt as he clinched the first position in the doubles category, adding to his success in winning two different categories. Additionally, he secured a commendable third place in the singles category, further showcasing his prowess on the tennis court.
