KUWAIT CITY, July 22: Dar AlMuhama Law Firm, based in the State of Kuwait, and the Higher Institute for Legal Training (HILT), the training arm of the Emirates Association of Lawyers and Legal Professionals in the United Arab Emirates, have announced the signing of a professional cooperation agreement, reflecting the parties’ shared commitment to supporting professional development, advancing legal knowledge, and delivering specialized training programs that address the evolving needs of legal practitioners and the business community.
The cooperation agreement aims to develop and implement a series of joint training programs, courses, workshops, and professional events covering a broad range of legal and professional subjects. Particular emphasis will be placed on practical application, legislative and regulatory developments, and the adoption of local and international best practices. On this occasion, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Houti, Managing Partner of Dar Al- Muhama Law Firm, stated: “At Dar AlMuhama, we firmly believe that fostering legal knowledge and sharing professional expertise constitute an integral part of our professional responsibility.
This collaboration brings together the experience and capabilities of both parties with the objective of delivering practical, high-value training programs that contribute to the development of legal professionals and assist institutions in keeping pace with legislative and professional developments.” He further added: “This agreement extends beyond the organization of training programs. It establishes a comprehensive framework for cooperation in the development of academic and professional content, the organization of joint events, and the exchange of expertise, thereby creating added value for participants and enhancing the quality of the training services provided.” For her part, Dr. Eman Al-Rifai, President of the Higher Institute for Legal Training, emphasized the significance of the agreement, stating: “We are pleased to collaborate with Dar AlMuhama Law Firm in the State of Kuwait through a professional partnership dedicated to developing legal training programs that combine specialized legal knowledge with practical application. We believe this collaboration will facilitate the exchange of expertise between our two countries and deliver high-quality programs that enable lawyers and legal consultants to keep pace with the transformations shaping the legal profession and the evolving demands of the labour market.”
She further noted: “The Institute looks forward to this agreement serving as the foundation for a sustainable framework of joint initiatives and training programs that will enhance the quality of legal education and professional training while supporting the development of legal talent in the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait, and the wider region.” The parties are expected to announce the first of their joint training programs in the coming period. These programs will address a number of priority legal and professional topics, with participation being made available to the relevant target audiences in accordance with the nature and objectives of each program. This collaboration reflects the commitment of both parties to promoting lifelong learning, providing high-quality legal training programs aligned with the needs of the marketplace, and contributing to the development of professional competencies while strengthening legal awareness across the region.
