KUWAIT CITY, Apr 26: Kuwait’s Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has announced a precautionary recall of several batches of Danalac goat milk infant formula following safety alerts received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
The authority said the recall involves specific batches of Danalac Goat Milk Infant Formula 1 and Follow-on Formula 2 (400g), manufactured in Estonia, due to the potential presence of cereulide. This toxin can pose health risks. The company described the move as a voluntary precaution to safeguard consumer health.
According to the advisory, affected batch numbers include multiple production runs from 2025 with expiry dates extending into 2027. Authorities have ordered an immediate halt to the distribution of the impacted products and are coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure their withdrawal from the local market.
Consumers have been urged to check the batch numbers printed on product packaging and to stop using any matching items immediately. The authority also called on the public to follow official guidance issued via its communication channels as part of ongoing efforts to ensure food safety in Kuwait.
