KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: Personnel from the public and private customs warehouses administration at the airport successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of tobacco. The illicit substance was concealed within a container purportedly transporting clothes and accessories into the country. The operation was conducted under the supervision of the customs warehouse director, Muhammad Ghareeb Al-Saidi, and the customs warehouse controller, Nasser Al-Dalmani.

According to a customs source, the inspectors became suspicious of a container arriving at the airport with a customs declaration indicating "clothes and accessories." Subsequently, the customs officials subjected the container to a meticulous inspection, revealing that it harbored a substantial amount of tobacco concealed behind cartons of clothes and accessories.
