Minister appoints 3 assistant undersecretaries
KUWAIT CITY, May 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh was recently quoted as saying the current period is very critical because the enemy (corona virus) is invisible and no one knows when this will end, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Al-Saleh has stressed on the need to continue efforts to provide more security and safety for all who live in Kuwait – citizens and expatriates. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the securitymen during the current crisis in cooperation with a number of concerned institutions. This came during his appointment of three assistant undersecretaries and promoting officers to various ranks – a ceremony that was held in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lt. Gen. Issam Al-Naham.
He stressed that promotion is an assignment before it is an honor that doubles the responsibility of those who have been promoted, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is passing through to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media said the Minister issued three ministerial decisions bearing the numbers 395, 396 and 397 for the year 2020 to appoint Major General Anwar Al-Barjas, Assistant Undersecretary for Residence Affairs and Major General Mohammed Al-Sharhan, Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs and to upgrade Brigadier Abdulaziz Abdulaziz Al-Rashidi to the rank of staff Major General and appoint him as an Assistant Undersecretary to the state security apparatus.
