KUWAIT CITY, March 16: It takes time for results of the partial curfew to be reflected in the indicators of the health situation and to evaluate its effectiveness in light of the epidemic curve of the coronavirus which continues to climb, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources from the government. Sources warned that the situation still requires caution and everyone’s cooperation to achieve the desired control, hoping everyone will receive the anti-coronavirus vaccine and the continuous arrival of the required quantity of vaccines. Sources explained the Council of Ministers did not discuss in its recent meeting the assessment of the partial curfew or amendment of procedures and restrictions imposed; hence, the curfew period and allowing delivery service for restaurants and others are still the same.

On the other hand, in a step to control the movement of those who obtain exit permits during the partial curfew and to prevent tampering with the permits; a reliable source from the security sector told the daily that a GPS tracking system has been set up to follow up those who got the permits and to ensure that the access point is the site for which the exit permit was granted – visit to a clinic or hospital or a shopping permit for associations. The source said “the permits granted to some to go outside under certain circumstances are unfortunately being exploited without the purpose specified for them, so a person who exploited his permit will be blocked through his civil ID.”
