‘Cultural activities’ in schools resume

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Dr. Ali Al-Yacoub announced the resumption of cultural activities in schools for various educational stages, including religious and private schools as well as special education schools during the current 2021/2022 school year, reports Al-Anba daily. This announcement was made in a bulletin issued by the undersecretary Al-Yacoub, in which he said, “School activities play a prominent role in students’ learning process, as well as in developing their talents and discovering their various abilities.

They also affect the students’ personality and their future. With reference to the Ministry of Education circular No. 11/2020 issued on 10/13/2020 regarding the suspension of all sports activities, events, lectures, seminars and tours during the 2020/2021 school year, and in view of the resumption of studies in the schools of the Ministry of Education, in order to activate the role of school activities and to adhere to the preventive measures to preserve the safety of our students, please work on activating the mechanism for implementing school activities by resuming cultural and literary competitions and awareness-raising meetings in schools for the 2021/2022 school year”.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education explained that it will continue to receive members of the public who wish to meet the Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Ali Al-Yacoub as per the dates specified through the “Mataa” platform with an amendment to the time of the visit to be from 6 am to 7:30 am.
