CSC OKs MoCI 50% attendance cap

KUWAIT CITY, April 14: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) approved the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s request to increase the number of employees required to be present at the ministry’s headquarters to 50 percent, in accordance with public interest and work needs. The ministry will determine the employee rotation mechanism. The ministry had requested the following from CSC:

■ The percentage of employees present at the workplace should not exceed 50 percent of the total number of employees. This percentage should be distributed among employees on a rotational basis, divided into two groups - A and B - with a “one day on, one day off” system to ensure continuity of work. The rotation mechanism is to be determined daily.

■ The remaining provisions of Administrative Circular No. 6/2026, issued on March 18, remain in effect until further notice.

■ This circular is effective from April 14 until further notice.
