KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: The Criminal Court has sentenced an Asian expatriate to death after convicting him of heroin trafficking and smuggling narcotics into Kuwait through customs.
The verdict was issued by a court presided over by Counselor Salem Al-Asousi, with Judges Hussein Al-Duraie and Talal Al-Rashidi as members.
According to the case details, the accused confessed that he had met a person of the same nationality and agreed with him to transport heroin into Kuwait for trafficking.
The defendant admitted that, in implementation of the agreement, he had brought heroin into the country on more than one occasion, intending to trade in the narcotic substance.
