KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: Two individuals have been arrested on charges related to the theft of electrical cables, with an additional 10 cases involving them pending investigation.

As part of the ongoing endeavors of the Criminal Security Sector to detain criminals and scrutinize unresolved cases, the General Department of Criminal Investigation, specifically the "Jahra Governorate Investigation Department," successfully apprehended a two-person gang involved in the theft of electrical cables. These cables were pilfered and subsequently sold for financial gain.

After a comprehensive process of inquiry, verification, and securing the requisite legal authorization, a team was assembled from the Sulaibiyah Investigation Office and dispatched to the Amghara area where the gang was operating. The suspects were spotted in a vehicle and were detained after attempting to flee on foot.

During the subsequent interrogation, the accused individuals confessed to their involvement in the illicit activities of dismantling electrical poles, severing electrical cables, and profiting from their sales. They admitted to multiple similar thefts in various regions of Kuwait. Moreover, they cooperated by providing information on the whereabouts of the stolen items, ultimately revealing that these items were associated with 10 other undisclosed cases.

Both the accused individuals and the confiscated items have been handed over to the relevant authorities for the initiation of legal proceedings against them.
