Kuwait Cracks Down on Drug Dealers, Confiscates Cocaine, Hashish, Heroin, and More

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: As part of its ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes and protect society from the dangers of narcotics, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior, through the Criminal Security Sector and the General Directorate for Drug Control, carried out a large-scale security campaign across several areas of the country.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 23 individuals of various nationalities and the seizure of 14 cases involving illegal drugs and related paraphernalia. Among the items confiscated were:

  • 160 grams of cocaine
  • 2.5 kilograms of hashish
  • 1.25 kilograms of marijuana
  • 1 kilogram of synthetic cannabinoids
  • 200 grams of heroin
  • 500 grams of methamphetamine
  • 15,000 psychotropic pills
  • 14 bottles of alcohol
  • 15 electronic scales for weighing narcotics
  • Two firearms and a quantity of ammunition, all seized without a license

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that these results came from thorough field operations and meticulous investigations, highlighting the vigilance and dedication of security personnel in pursuing and apprehending individuals involved in drug offenses.

The Ministry affirmed that its campaigns against drugs will continue firmly and without leniency, with strict legal measures applied against anyone proven to be involved, ensuring the safety and security of society.
