Cracking Down on Visa Violation: 107 Expats Arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13: In line with the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to arrest lawbreakers, the Ministry of Interior successfully took action against 9 fake maids offices and arrested 107 expats in violation of Residency and Work Laws across Al-Aqila, Salwa, Seville, Farwaniya, Khaitan, and Al-Ahmadi Governorate.

Furthermore, the Search and Investigation Department detained an individual of Asian nationality who attempted to bribe authorities in order to secure a driver’s license for a relative. Another individual, against whom an arrest warrant had been issued in an absconding case was also arrested.

The diligent efforts of the Investigation and Security Oversight Section within the Search and Investigation Department resulted in the arrest of 9 individuals of Asian nationality. In addition, 3 women engaged in prostitution were identified and subsequently referred to the appropriate legal authorities for further action.
