Crackdown unfolds across Kuwait against crime wave

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: In a series of security operations recently, anti-narcotics officers arrested three citizens in possession of narcotics. According to a security source, officers from the narcotics investigation unit apprehended the suspects after closely monitoring them. Narcotics were found in their possession, so they were referred to the concerned authorities along with the confiscated items.

Meanwhile, two young Kuwaiti men were involved in a public brawl in Firdous, and one of them sustained several stab wounds that required hospitalization. Security sources revealed that the confrontation was the result of a long-running disagreement between the two. The argument turned physical, such that one man stabbed the other before fleeing. The injured man was rushed to the hospital, while the attacker later surrendered to the police. An investigation was launched to establish the circumstances leading to the incident.

In other news, Andalus police officers arrested an Asian man for the possession of locally produced liquor intended for sale. According to a security source, the suspect was apprehended during a sting operation. Police found the man carrying water bottles filled with homemade alcohol. The suspect and the confiscated items were referred to the concerned authorities.
