KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: As part of ongoing efforts to enhance traffic safety and ensure compliance with regulations, the General Traffic Department, in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, carried out a joint inspection campaign targeting several vehicle workshops located in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area.

The campaign, led by the Technical Inspection Department, focused on verifying the workshops’ adherence to both technical and legal standards governing vehicle maintenance and repair activities. Inspectors assessed the condition and safety of equipment, the quality of services provided, and the workshops’ compliance with licensing and operational requirements.

According to the authorities, the initiative aims to promote safer practices within the industrial and automotive maintenance sectors, reduce the risks associated with faulty vehicle repairs, and ensure that all workshops operate within the approved safety frameworks.

The General Traffic Department reaffirmed that such joint inspections will continue regularly as part of its broader strategy to improve traffic safety, protect consumers, and uphold the integrity of industrial services across Kuwait.
