KUWAIT CITY, June 9: The Court of Appeals upheld the ruling of a lower court that sentenced to death a citizen and an Egyptian for the premeditated murder of Mubarak Al-Rashidi. In previous sessions, the court questioned the defendants -- friends of the victim -- about the premeditated murder, but they denied committing the crime; while the prosecution denounced the crime and demanded for maximum penalty for the perpetrators. It had earlier been reported that securitymen found Al- Rashidi’s body inside a container in Salmi desert more than two months after his disappearance. His two friends, the citizen and the Egyptian, were accused of killing him at a camping site in Kabad, transporting his body and burned the tent before the latter left for his country.
