KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8: The Court of Appeals will today consider the case filed against the Twitter user Hamid Boyabes who was accused of offending the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia based on a number of Twitter posts he wrote against the Saudi Minister of Interior, after the prosecution submitted an appeal against the acquittal ruling.

The Public Prosecution had charged Boyabes with carrying out a hostile act against Saudi Arabia in a manner that would harm the relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, against the backdrop of Boyabes posting Twitter messages related to the smuggling of a number of state-subsidized food supplies into Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Ministry of Interior’s responsibility for them.
