Court reinstates charity’s status

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: The Court of Cassation dismissed a request submitted by Ministry of Social Affairs to suspend the verdict of the appellate court which canceled a decision issued by the ministry to dissolve Al- Salaam Charity Organization.

Previously, the Court of Appeals had cancelled the decision of the ministry to dissolve the charity organization, stating that such a decision was unjust and must be cancelled.

It is worth mentioning that the decision was made by the former minister of Social Affairs and Labor and state minister of Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh due to violations committed by the charity organization against the relevant laws and provisions.
