KUWAIT CITY, April 23: The Ja’afari Family Circuit at the Court of First Instance nullified a woman’s custody right to her son on his seventh birthday and transferred the child’s custody to the ex-husband without any objection. The court also canceled all expenses paid by the man as of the date of taking delivery of the child.

The lawsuit filed on behalf of the exhusband by lawyer Yousef Hussein demanded immediate transfer of custody to his client when the child turned seven years old but defense counsel countered the request, saying the man was not fitting to take over custody of the child.

The court rejected counter argument that requested an investigation to confirm the man to take custody. The court insisted the man has right to the custody of his child after the birth certificate established that the child has attained age seven
