Court grants woman custody of her 3 children

KUWAIT CITY, May 23:The Personal Status Circuit of the Court of First Instance gave a Kuwaiti woman the custody of her three children even though their father had submitted pictures to mislead the court into believing that the behavior of his estranged wife was very bad and she could not be trusted. In a lawsuit filed by lawyer Haya Al-Dousari on behalf of the Kuwaiti woman, she affirmed that her client was married to the man and they had three children together.

Considering the fact that the father abstained from the well-being of their children and other expenses, Lawyer Al- Dousari wondered how he could accuse the mother in such a manner especially since she was taking care of the children.

Based on the School of Imam Al-Malik, Lawyer Al-Dousari insisted that the father should fend for his children even though the mother was rich. The court obliged the father to pay for the three children’s expenses, monthly house rent, house furniture and wages of housemaid as well as the expenses for hiring and bringing the housemaid.
