KUWAIT CITY, July 15: The Court of Cassation commuted the death sentence of 3 bedoun brothers, who were found guilty of killing their brother’s murderer after he was released from prison. The victim was allegedly killed inside a tailor shop in Sulaibiya inside a cooperative society, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

However, the court sentenced one of them to life imprisonment and put the other two behind bars for 10 years. The crime was committed in May 2018, specifically during Ramadan, when the accused believed to be 28, 21 and 18 years old decided to kill the 33-year-old victim after he got out of prison in retaliation for their brother’s brother who was killed by the victim following a quarrel between them in 2010.

The main accused was armed with a Kalashnikov and the second with a pistol while the third accompanied them to give them support to avenge the murder of their brother.

The Public Prosecution on May 19, 2018 had charged the convicts with the premeditated murder of the victim inside a tailoring shop in Sulaibiya. The Criminal Court had sentenced the men to capital punishment and the verdict was upheld by the Court of Appeals.
