KUWAIT CITY, March 14: The Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Abdul Rahman Al Darmi, overturned the verdict issued by a lower court which sentenced a Kuwaiti man and a Kuwaiti woman to two-year imprisonment each, and an expatriate man and an expatriate woman to six-month imprisonment each for leaking question papers of high school exams, and for laundering KD 308,000. The court instead acquitted them of all charges. It also upheld the acquittal of a citizen of leaking question papers in another case.
Previously, investigations by the police had revealed the involvement of others and the role of each accused in leaking the question papers of the high school exams, as well as the amount of money that went into their bank accounts illegally as a result of their crime.
