Court Acquits Kuwaiti Citizen in Death of Asian Cyclist in Abdali Case

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 8: The Misdemeanor Appellate Court has acquitted a citizen in a case involving the death of an Asian man who was run over while riding a bicycle in Abdali.

The court ruled that the evidence presented by defense lawyer Abdullah Salameh established that the victim had not followed required safety and security procedures while cycling, which contributed to the incident. The judgment concluded that this factor negated the element of negligence and broke the causal link required for criminal liability, leading to the acquittal of the accused.
