KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: This evening at 7:00, the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Futsal Complex is set to host the eagerly anticipated Super Cup match for ministries, government agencies, and institutions in futsal. The showdown will feature the Ministry of Electricity and Water team, the reigning champions of the league’s last edition, facing off against the Ministry of Education team, the current cup champions.

Both teams are eager to secure a new accolade ahead of the upcoming league’s kick-off scheduled for the 19th of this month, organized into two groups. The first group, consisting of 4 teams, and the second group, with 5 teams, will see the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

Hamid Al-Hazeem, Deputy Director General of the General Sports Authority for the Sports for All Sector and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Ministries League, expressed that the technical committee for the Futsal League has finalized all arrangements for the Super Cup match. This high-stakes encounter marks the commencement of the new season’s competitions.

Al-Hazeem emphasized the committee’s anticipation for a distinguished match, echoing the directives of Youssef Al-Baidan, Director General of the Authority, who is keen on the event’s success throughout the current league and cup season.

In a related development, the Technical Committee of the Ministries’ Speedball League has approved the competition conditions. Six institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Kuwait University, Ministry of Defense, Public Authority for Sports, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Electricity and Water, will participate in a league system with a single round culminating in the champion securing the highest points.
