Coronavirus strikes Mubarak hospital

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 23: 11 Asian nurses in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital were infected with the Corona virus during the past few days before being transferred to the specialized hospital for treatment, as well as quarantining those who came in contact with them.

The sources said that the nurses live in a building designated for the nurses’ in Mahboula the cases of those who came in contact are being examined for source of infection if it was from their housing or from their workplace.

Some of them were providing health care in ward 25 of the hospital and moved between one ward to another.

Meanwhile the sources stated that laboratory tests on the hospital emergency department revealed that 22 people were infected with the virus after symptoms of the disease appeared on them as tests and surveys were done on them.

There is no shortage of nursing staff or health care although some of them have been admitted due to infections
