MUSCAT, March 16 (KUNA) -- The Omani Ministry of Health on Monday reported two more coronavirus cases, bringing the country's total number of confirmed virus cases up to 24.
The two infections are of two Omani citizens who are related to travel, the ministry said in a statement, adding that the new patients are stable and under self-isolation at home.
The novel coronavirus emerged in Wuhan, China last December, and has rapidly spread to over 140 countries, and the World Health Organization has designated the virus a pandemic

UAE bans mass prayers in mosques for month

The UAE has decided to temporarily suspend prayers in all places of worship nationwide for four weeks.
The fresh decision will be reviewed and re-assessed after four weeks, UAE authorities said in a statement carried by the country's official news agency (WAM).
The latest move is part of ongoing efforts exerted by UAE authorities to fight the novel coronavirus outbreak in the Gulf country
