Contractor, owner responsible to remove construction debris

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: The Safety Department at the Kuwait Municipality branch in the Capital Governorate issued 248 safety- related warnings to the owners of various properties in July, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Director of the department Eng. Salah Al- Khurainj revealed that the inspection team completed 30 field reports last month, in addition to the issuance of 73 safety permits, 35 storage permits and 62 hygiene certificates for construction projects and private residences, while 44 bank guarantees were released. Al-Khurainj urged property owners to implement safety measures, adhere to municipal regulations and bylaws, and ensure the prompt removal of construction debris by both the contractor and the property owner to avoid penalties
