The Constitutional Court rejects the appeal against the Press, Publications, and Information Crimes Law

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1, (Agencies): The Constitutional Court has rejected today the appeal challenging the constitutionality of the Press, Publications, and Information Crimes Law, affirming that it does not violate the constitution.

Additionally, the Court dismissed two appeals from companies challenging the constitutionality of certain provisions in the Civil Law and the Commercial Law.

Regarding the appeal against information crimes and the publications law, the Court emphasized that it is natural for the legislator to criminalize any act that may infringe upon the dignity of life of individuals.

The Court confirmed that this principle, widely recognized by the public, does not contradict personal freedom or conflict with the constitutional provisions and is based on a solid foundation.
