Conditions set to reopen garages

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 28: Kuwait Municipality on Tuesday set the precautionary requirements that must be adhered to by employees in order to reopen auto repair shops which the Cabinet agreed to re-start.

The General Director of the Kuwait Municipality, Ahmed Al-Manfuhi, said in a press statement that the Cabinet instructed the municipality to open those garages that were located in vicinity of cooperative societies and gas stations in all regions, as well as gas stations located on the side of highways, in addition to the garages located in the areas of Kabd, Abdali and Wafra.

Al-Manfouhi added that the decision specified the conditions and controls that must be adhered to by workers in those auto repair shops during the practice of work.

He explained that among the requirements is the need to adhere to leave a distance between people not less than one meter, and also to compel the stores located in cooperative societies to carry out their work during the period of partial curfew only.

He called on shop owners to adhere to the conditions and controls set by the municipality, pointing out that any place that violates the decision came from being bound by the terms and conditions and closing legal procedures in accordance with the laws and regulations.
