UWAIT CITY, July 24: Head of the Union of Domestic Labor Offices Khaled Al-Dakhnan says the company at the airport that deals with the recruited domestic workers does not play any significant role, as the visa is handed to the company, and the representative waits for long periods for the worker to leave without providing any other services. In a press statement, Al-Dakhnan explained that the company receives KD 5 for each transaction. In the past, there was a company that received KD 3 for the same service.

However, this service is not worthy of receiving these amounts, which the company receives from the offices. In the past, employees of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation were handed over the visa. He said, “The company receives KD 5 for each visa. What if the office has more than one worker? How much will it collect? Two years ago, a letter was submitted to DGCA to request information on this matter, but no response. If the company was providing other services such as delivering the domestic worker to the house, it would have been said it is worth collecting such amounts, but there is nothing else”.

One of the Twitter users posted a message on Twitter, addressing him and saying the company receives higher sums. He said, “Your servants get off the plane in a company at the airport that takes them and leaves them there without any reason. You go and ask about your servants to receive them. They tell you the company pays a fee of KD 30 to deliver to you. But we wonder what to pay for what services?” By Fares Al-Abdan Al-Seyassah Staff K
