KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: Jahra and Kabad Emergency Team in the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry inspected a number of restaurants, markets and shops; including those selling dates, phones, clothes, meat, fish, fruits and electronics in Jahra, reports Al-Anba daily whose representatives accompanied the aforementioned teams in their inspection tours during the National and Liberation holidays.
These tours resulted in the issuance of several citations for various violations; such as commercial fraud in the country of origin, selling used tyres and hoarding.
In a statement to the daily, Team Leader Jamaan Al-Mutairi disclosed the inspection tours were aimed at eliminating violations and ensuring strict compliance with the relevant laws and decisions; especially those related to price control.
He added that from Feb 1-25, the team issued 47 citations for different violations, closed 10 stores, received several complaints through hotline number135 and implemented the decision to open five commercial stores
