On his part, Assistant Undersecretary for the Commercial Surveillance and Consumer Protection Sector Eid Al-Rashidi said in a statement to KUNA that the ministry plans to open more centers to serve and protect the consumer from commercial fraud and issue licenses for festivals and events.

It also plans to demolish 12 centers out of 21, which already exist and rebuild them as part of its expansion plan, Al-Rashidi noted. He clarified that this sector has already executed a seasonal plan, spreading inspectors at different markets in the country to investigate and control any violation of law.
