Cockroaches in Kitchen, Workers Stuffed in Single Room at Kuwait Delivery Firm’s Accommodation

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has conducted a field inspection of workers’ accommodation belonging to a delivery company to verify compliance with occupational safety and health requirements.

The inspection was carried out with the participation of the Authority’s Occupational Safety and Labor Relations teams as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor employers’ compliance with Kuwait’s labor laws and regulations.

According to the Authority, the inspection focused on checking the availability of occupational safety and health requirements at the accommodation. The participating teams are taking the necessary measures within their respective areas of responsibility.

The Occupational Safety team will issue a notice to the company requiring it to address the issues identified during the inspection, the Authority said.

PAM affirmed that it will continue field inspection campaigns to ensure workers are provided with a safe and decent living environment.

The Authority also urged workers to report any violations through its official channels as part of efforts to strengthen oversight and protect workers’ rights.
