Coast Guard kick-start naval exercise

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: Kuwait’s Coast Guard Corps will start a two-day exercise with live ammunition at the ALFA Navy Shooting Range between 8:00 am Monday until and 3 pm. Tuesday (local time). The venue of the drills is located between southeast Boubyan Island – in the north, northwest Failaka Island – in the southwest; and Ras Al-Geid and Auhah islets in the south, to the width of 11 nautical miles southeastward and 15 nautical miles northeastward, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release on Sunday. The statement cautioned mariners against coming close to the site of the exercise which is 2.8 nautical miles off Failaka, noting that naval patrols will barring them from doing so for their safety (KUNA)
