KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: In a groundbreaking achievement for the men of the General Administration of the Coast Guard at the Ministry of the Interior, a historic development unfolds as the administration gears up to deploy several domestically manufactured naval military boats — an unprecedented milestone among military institutions. Crafted by the hands of the nation’s talented young men and women, this marks a significant leap forward.

According to security sources, the General Administration of the Coast Guard has officially entered the arena of competition by producing three distinct types of local boats, each tailored for specific roles, sizes, and tasks. This homegrown manufacturing initiative is anticipated to yield substantial savings for the state treasury and the Ministry of Interior.

The flagship in this endeavor is a 40-foot patrol boat—the first of its kind—tasked with intercepting potential threats, combating criminal operations, and armed with three 50 mm weapons for enhanced security. Additionally, a 30-foot rescue boat is set to safeguard lives and property in territorial waters, while a 24-foot boat will focus on search and investigation missions.

Sources emphasize that this accomplishment was made possible through the unwavering support of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, along with the dedicated oversight of Major General Talal Al-Munis, the Director General of the General Administration of the Coast Guard, and a team of security leaders and engineers. The entire manufacturing process was carried out by the nation’s skilled and loyal young individuals, showcasing their high competencies.

The sources expressed optimism that this notable achievement will garner considerable attention from relevant authorities. They hope that the system for manufacturing military naval boats will be showcased and shared in international forums, presenting this unparalleled experience to a global audience. Moreover, local manufacturing is expected to pave the way for reducing reliance on costly foreign acquisitions of military boats, symbolizing a paradigm shift in naval capabilities.
