Coal imports to Kuwait increases

KUWAIT CITY, July 30: Kuwait’s import of coal has started increasing; that is, after a significant decline due to the corona pandemic, reports Al-Anba daily quoting official statistics. The data showed that the country’s import of coal, coke and coal briquettes reached KD 7.5 million in 2021 — 61 percent of which were from January to June 2021 valued at KD 4.59 million.

The import of these products increased by KD 2.9 million in 2021 compared to KD 4.61 million in 2020. Comparing the situation before the Corona pandemic; the import of coal declined by KD 7.06 million in 2020, considering the import of coal in 2019 reached KD 11.67 million.
