Coachella 2026: Bieber lands multi-million dollar headline spot
Justin Bieber

LOS ANGELES, Sept 17: Pop superstar Justin Bieber has secured a seven-figure deal to headline the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Rolling Stone has learned. In a groundbreaking move, Bieber negotiated his slot directly with festival promoter Goldenvoice, bypassing traditional agent involvement.

A source close to Bieber said the deal, estimated at over $10 million for both weekends combined, puts the artist “fully in the driver’s seat” and marks the start of a new era of independence in his career. The fee reportedly matches top-tier payouts for Coachella headliners, with Bieber saving on agency commissions thanks to the direct negotiation.

This will be Bieber’s first US performance since his 2022 Justice World Tour. The upcoming set is anticipated to be a major spectacle reflecting Bieber’s status as a global pop icon, the source added.

Bieber’s return to the stage follows the release of his Swag I and Swag II albums, which have collectively charted at number four on the Billboard 200. The albums, counted as a combined project by industry charts, feature hits like “Daisies” and “Yukon.” Despite some confusion over whether Swag II is a separate album or a deluxe edition, Bieber and his team have driven both projects and their promotional efforts.

Industry insiders noted the label’s decision to combine the albums was a strategic move to secure chart success and protect Bieber’s momentum. The singer has reportedly maintained full creative control over the projects, delivering what sources describe as the “purest version” of his music.

While Bieber has previously appeared as a guest during Coachella sets, 2026 marks his first solo headline performance at the festival. Past collaborations at Coachella include performances with Tems, WizKid, Daniel Caesar, and Ariana Grande.

Coachella 2026 is scheduled for April 10-12 and April 17-19 in Indio, California. Other announced headliners include Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and Anyma.
