KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: As part of its ongoing security efforts to monitor violations and enforce the law, the Criminal Security Sector has intensified inspections to ensure compliance with regulations. In this context, the General Department of Criminal Investigation, through the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Investigation Department, conducted a thorough investigation into a water bottling plant found to violate official orders.

Investigations revealed that the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition had previously ordered the closure of the plant and placed official state seals on the premises on December 11, 2025, due to regulatory violations. However, during a follow-up inspection conducted on December 28, 2025, authorities discovered that the individuals in charge of the facility had unlawfully broken the official seals and removed the closure sticker affixed by the authorities.

Upon summoning the responsible parties and confronting them with the findings, they admitted to deliberately breaking the state seals and resuming operations at the plant during nighttime hours, outside official working times. The move was intended to conceal the violation and continue production despite the closure order.

As a result, the individuals responsible for managing the plant were referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation and the initiation of legal proceedings. Additionally, employees registered with the company were apprehended, and the necessary legal measures are being taken against them in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The facility itself has also been seized as part of the enforcement action.

The Criminal Security Sector reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its monitoring and inspection efforts, emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy toward any violations that threaten public health or contravene the laws and regulations in force. Authorities stressed that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found to be involved in such offenses.
