Clinics to stay open longer

KUWAIT CITY, June 1: To keep pace with the summer travel season, the Ministry of Health announced the extension of working hours and days at seven clinics serving travelers. In a press statement Sunday, the ministry confirmed this step is in line with its proactive policy to ensure the provision of specialized preventive care and facilitate access to it to meet the citizens’ needs; thereby, contributing to their ability to travel safely and fully prepared.

The ministry explained that the traveler clinics, which operate under the umbrella of the Public Health Sector, are specialized medical centers that provide pre-travel advice and health services. These services include awareness of diseases prevalent in various travel destinations, recommendations for required vaccinations, and the provision of preventive tests and necessary guidance, the ministry added.

It indicated that these clinics are in seven main locations in all governorates, with flexible working hours, including morning and evening shifts, in some centers. This allows in-person attendance or online booking, depending on the type of clinic. Clinic Locations and Hours:

1. The Public Health Department operates from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm

2. Capital Governorate: Abdulrahman Al-Abdulmoghni Health Center Clinic in the morning, in addition to the evening shift on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 pm

3. Farwaniya Governorate: Raqqa Health Center Clinic on Sundays and Thursdays during the morning shift

4. Jahra Governorate: Al-Oyoun Health Center Clinic operates on Sundays and Wednesdays in the morning

5. Hawally Governorate: Mubarak Al- Kabeer Hospital Clinic operates on Mondays and Wednesdays in the morning

6. Ahmadi Governorate: Fahaheel Health Center Clinic operates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the morning

7. Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate: Zahra Health Center Clinic operates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the morning
