TEHRAN (AP), Mar 30: Residents in Iran’s Karaj and northern Tehran have described experiencing power outages, security operations, and widespread uncertainty following reported nearby strikes and escalating regional tensions. A 22-year-old resident of Karaj said his area lost electricity for several hours overnight, prompting fears that power infrastructure could be further targeted. He also reported preparing an emergency “go-bag” amid concerns over potential disruptions to banking systems and communications, as internet access remains heavily restricted.

In northern Tehran, a resident in his 50s reported multiple explosions in his neighborhood, including damage near a police station and residential buildings affected by shockwaves from nearby strikes. He also described increased security activity, including checkpoint inspections and warnings against public demonstrations, with authorities reportedly issuing strict measures to deter unrest.

The accounts come amid broader reports of heightened tensions and restricted information flow inside Iran, with residents describing confusion and limited access to reliable updates due to ongoing communication disruptions.
