Civil Service urges complete shift to cybersecurity and awareness for institutional protection

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12, (Agencies): A source from the Civil Service Commission emphasized in statements to a press the importance of a complete shift towards cybersecurity to secure the information infrastructure of institutions from threats and viral attacks.
The source clarified the strategy for dealing with these threats and the legal protection involved. Under the guidance of the Commission’s Chief, Dr. Issam Al-Rubaian, the relevant department within the Commission is implementing a comprehensive plan to educate and train all job levels (senior, middle, supervisory, executive, specialized, and administrative development teams) about the concept, axes, principles, and elements of cybersecurity, as well as how to confront risks and threats. This includes programs for combating second-generation viruses and piracy.
Additionally, the awareness campaign covers the strengths and weaknesses of information systems, how to avoid and prevent them, and awareness of the global cybersecurity program of the International Telecommunication Union, its mission, and the security of browsers and email.
