Civil Service encourages national cadres to engage in nursing field

KUWAIT CITY, March 15: Undersecretary of the Civil Service Commission, Abeer Al- Duaij, affirmed that the Commission encourages national cadres to engage in work in the field of nursing, with the exception of employees who are candidates for obtaining a Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing from all conditions and obtaining the full salary without deducting any allowances during the study leave period.

Al-Duaij said in a press statement on Tuesday, that based on the studies and research that have been done and are still ongoing regarding all disciplines and the need of government agencies for them and the need of the labor market recently and the need of health sector in the country to specialize in nursing, and as of the beginning of the foreign scholarship plan for the year 2019-2020, for a period of 10 years, the Civil Service Commission approved the plan to improve the level of performance of members of the nursing staff.

She added that the program plan aims to dispatch employees of government agencies and departments, such as the Ministries of Health, Defense and Interior, and other agencies that have health sector services among their staff and holders of high school diploma or diploma and its equivalent who wish to obtain a bachelor’s degree or nursing diploma. She explained that the field will be opened for the rest of the government agencies affiliated with the scholarship budget, and seats will be allocated for those wishing to study a bachelor’s degree and a diploma inside and outside the country within the program after the approval of the budget for the year 2023-2024 and the approval of the Civil Service Program plan.

She stated that this decision aims to encourage national cadres to engage work in the field of nursing, while excluding the nominated employees from all the conditions for delegation stipulated in Articles Eight and Ten of the scholarships regulations and study leaves, Civil Service Commission Decision No. 10 of 1986 within the program plan with full salary without deducting any allowances during the study leave period(KUNA)
