KUWAIT CITY, March 10: The spokesperson for the Kuwait Ports Authority, Nasser Al-Shulaimi, announced the General Manager of the authority, Sheikh Yusuf Al-Abdullah, has issued a circular which prevents its employees – Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti – from joining duty if they arrive from countries infected by the coronavirus, reports Al-Qabas daily.

They must be subjected to mandatory quarantine as per the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, the quarantine period for those confined at Kout Quarantine Center will be extended from 14 to 21 days due to the continuous detection of coronavirus cases among them, reports Al- Anba daily quoting sources. Sources affirmed all those confined at the center have been informed about the extended quarantine period to take samples on Wednesday and then discharge those proven to be not infected with coronavrius by Saturday at the latest.
