KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: MEED magazine reported that the Ministry of Public Works awarded the Chinese State Construction Engineering Company a contract to build a wastewater treatment plant in South Al-Mutlaa, Jahra Governorate, whose estimated budget is believed to be 175 million dinars (equivalent to $582 million), to treat 400 thousand cubic meters of water per day, reports Al-Anba daily. The magazine added that the scope of work in the project includes building underground buffer tanks with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters and a tank unloading station of the same capacity.
