KUWAIT CITY, June 30: On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kuwait, H.E. Yang Xin, reaffirmed his country’s commitment to further advancing bilateral relations with the State of Kuwait during an official reception attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, Minister Plenipotentiary Nawaf Al-Ahmad, along with several officials and dignitaries.
In his address, the ambassador expressed deep appreciation to the Kuwaiti leadership and people for their longstanding support, commending the CPC’s central role in guiding China’s transformation since its establishment in 1921.
He noted that the party has successfully led the nation through successive phases of revolution, development and reform, achieving sustained economic growth, social stability and notable improvements in living standards. The ambassador said that under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping, China continues to pursue modernization while remaining focused on improving the well-being of its people. He noted that more than 800 million people have been lifted out of absolute poverty and that China has established the world’s largest education, healthcare and social security systems.
On international affairs, the envoy said China remains committed to promoting global peace, multilateral cooperation and sustainable development. He reiterated Beijing’s opposition to hegemonism and power politics, highlighting China’s contributions to global economic growth, the United Nations and international peacekeeping efforts.
Referring to recent tensions in the Middle East, the ambassador said China has actively worked to promote peace and a ceasefire following the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. He added that President Xi Jinping has proposed initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East and Gulf region.
The ambassador also noted that this year marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait. He described the two countries as “good friends, good partners and good brothers,” emphasizing that bilateral ties have continued to grow through mutual respect and cooperation despite differences in political systems.
He said recent meetings between President Xi Jinping and His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, have provided strategic direction for strengthening bilateral relations. China, he added, is ready to work closely with Kuwait to implement the consensus reached by the two leaders, deepen cooperation across various sectors and deliver greater benefits to the peoples of both countries.
