China Supports Pakistan’s Mediation Efforts Between Iran and the U.S.

SHANGHAI (AP), Mar 30: China has expressed support for Pakistan’s efforts to mediate between Iran and the United States, amid ongoing regional tensions.

Speaking at a daily briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said China appreciates Pakistan’s role in helping de-escalate the situation and supports its continued efforts as a mediator.

She added that China is ready to coordinate with Pakistan and other relevant parties to promote peace, end hostilities, and safeguard regional stability.

Pakistan had earlier announced plans to host talks between the United States and Iran in the near future. However, there has been no immediate confirmation from Washington or Tehran, and it remains unclear whether the discussions would be held directly or through intermediaries, particularly in the context of the ongoing month-long conflict.
