KUWAIT CITY, May 21: The nomination process for Al-Qadsia Club elections closed on Sunday, with the “Unity List” being elected unopposed to lead the club for the 2026–2030 term.
The new board will be headed by Sheikh Mishaal Talal Al-Fahad as president, with Hamad Al-Yaseen serving as vice-president. These posts are already settled, while Hassan Abu Al-Hassan is expected to be named secretary.
The list also includes Walid Al-Damkhi, Rifaa Al-Dihani, Mohammed Ma’arifi, Sami Bu Yabis, Abdulrahman Al-Yaseen, Dr. Hussein Al-Qabandi, Adnan Bu Hamad, and Salman Al-Kandari. The first board meeting will decide the distribution of executive roles and committee responsibilities.
The new lineup reflects a 45% change in membership compared to the previous board, with several key figures stepping down, including Sheikh Khaled Al-Fahad, former head of the list and former football department chief Sheikh Fahad Talal Al-Fahad, along with Walid Al-Kandari, Hani Al-Mulla, and Hamad Al-Basam.
