Champions IBAK All Stars defend title five times in a row

IBAK-KBC, Kuwait Badminton Challenge 2019 concludes

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: In the three days of badminton extravaganza, IBAK-KBC, Kuwait Badminton Challenge, the defending champions IBAK All Stars made it five in a row. The runners-up slot was filled by the Al Arabiya Victor abruptly ending the journey of Team 5.30 and IBCK in the semifinals.

In a hard fought Final IBAK All Stars edged Al Arabiya Victor 3-2. The competition offered visual treat for the spectators while world class players showcased their talent.

The tournament was inaugurated by the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Jeeva Sagar in the presence of Capt. Ali Al Marri, Vice President Badminton Asia Confederation at Saad Al Awzi School (IBAK Gym).

The Ambassador of Ukraine graced the event as a special invitee for the event accompanied by Adel Abdullah Al-Hammad, General Manager Boubyan Bank.

The tournament provided world class quality games. Chairman of IBAK, Dr Manimara Chozhan thanked IBAK’s members, tournament organizing committee, badminton lovers of Kuwait, players and teams participating in the tournament and sponsors for making the tournament a grand success.

IBAK is committed to improve badminton in, Kuwait. As part of this effort the fourth badminton coaching clinic for 2019 kicked off on Nov 11, 2019. The coaching clinic imparted by Indian coach Dr T. Maran will continue for the next three weeks.
